Profile:

Hi there! My name is Ethan Hart-Coombes, and I am a Computer Games Design Student. My passion for games comes, at it’s core, from a narrative perspective. I love the way that games can draw you into a narrative, and I have great respect for the developers who use this medium to present their worlds and stories to players. While I am keen to work on narrative, I have worked previously on each aspect of design, particularly in programming game mechanics and designing levels.

Top Skills:

Unreal Engine • Problem solving • Communication

Additional Skills:

Games Programming • 3D Modelling • Adobe CC

Project:

Reek N' Havok

“Reek N’ Havok is a sandbox, strategy PC game where you control two devilish imps, aiming destabilize a town through chaos and destruction. Disguised as a civilian, they can poison wells, pollute the food, start fires and disrupt supply caravans. The town itself will try and fix the damage caused, and guards are on watch to prevent suspicious behaviour.
The town has a day and night cycle. Some events and actions can only occur at a specific time of day. The town will collect food, wood, and gems to maintain a healthy population; manipulate these to cause famine, sickness or panic. Be careful not to let a guard see you, however. Discretion and careful planning are key!”
